Benjamin has always loved sport. As a kid, it was gymnastics, judo and rugby. In his teens, it was track & field and, to a greater extent, rugby.

 

At secondary school, he was never a huge fan of running long distances but he later gained an appreciation for it when he joined the cross-county team.

 

It wasn't until 2003 that he really got into running and, with his older brother, did his first half marathon. From then, he was hooked.

 

Benjamin has ran, swam, cycled, boxed and lifted all of his adult life. During his career as a teacher, he needed to unwind with a gym session or a long evening run.

 

Moving to Hong Kong in 2011 was a truly significant time in Benjamin's life. A new job, a new country, a new language. It was all new and meant maybe it was an opportunity to reinvent himself a little and try new things.

 

Being coach and captain of his school's dragon boat team was sort of the catalyst for him thinking about a big life change and the potential of a career in the fitness industry. He loves coaching, motivating and working with people and finds it fulfilling when somebody sets a goal and digs deep through sheer grit and determination to achieve it. What a feeling!
