Benjamin enjoys outdoor fitness such as swimming, running, hiking and paddle boarding. He was part of Hong Kong Academy's dragon boat team for 12 years, captaining the team and leading the training sessions.

Cycling is still a bit of a hobby and he once cycled through France into Spain during a summer vacation. The narrow roads and heavy traffic around Sai Kung aren't as appealing though.

​

Fitness, health and wellbeing all play a large role in Benjamin's life. He can often be seen running up and down Sai Kung's beautiful paths and coastal trails or around the track in the town centre where he leads many of his Personal Training sessions. He enjoys competing in 10k races, half-marathons and run-swim-races and he stays fit by combining rowing, bodyweight exercises, skipping and hill sprints into his regular circuits.

Benjamin likes to explore different culinary treats, often traveling around parts of Asia to get an authentic taste of a variety of delicacies.

​

He hopes to learn how to surf one day and a trip with his partner needs to be on the cards for this to happen.

​

Benjamin enjoys watching movies and the odd game of rugby union. 

​

He enjoys reading, particularly crime novels, and it was a sad day when he succumbed to a Kindle and donated most of his books to local charities and friends. There's nothing quite like opening a real book and turning the pages.

​

Benjamin's dog is a 9 year old village mutt named Coey and she keeps him company on long hikes and exploring new beaches. He has to remind himself that 3,000 photos of a dog is plenty and that he should probably start to purge sooner rather than later.

​

Guilty pleasures include reality TV, 80s action movies, 90s Brit-Pop and peanut butter smoothies.
